Falcon racing is an undergraduate student team who designs and manufactures a vehicle. The team is comprised of Mechanical, Electrical, and Computer engineering students, along with business and visual communication students. We work throughout the calendar year preparing for international competitions hosted by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE). At competition, our product is put to the test in a series of dynamic and static events to push the vehicle limits. Falcon Racing provides students of all class standing a unique opportunity to work with a diverse group of colleagues to gain hands on experience beyond the traditional classroom setting.
Aside from competing, Falcon Racing promotes STEM and business
education around campus by showcasing our vehicle and team attributes.
Current students and prospective students alike have the ability to
engage with the team and its members on tours, events and social media.
We have the ability to work with SPU’s student body through the support
of the engineering and computer science department. We strive to recruit
and educate students to build a network of competent young
professionals whose knowledge is incubated though the “design, build,
compete, repeat” process.
