Falcon Racing is a team of SPU undergraduate students who design and build an off-road vehicle from scratch each year. Our team includes mechanical, electrical, and computer engineering students, along with business and visual communication students who help us develop and present a business plan at competitions. Each year, we build a new vehicle and participate in international competitions hosted by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), where our product is put to the test in a series of dynamic and static events to push the vehicle to its limits. Falcon Racing provides students of all class standings with an exceptional opportunity to work with a diverse group of colleagues to gain hands on engineering experience. Falcon Racing students and prospective students can engage with the team and its members on tours, events, and social media. We strive to recruit and educate students to build a network of competent young professionals whose knowledge is incubated though the “design, build, compete, repeat” process.

Last year, Falcon Racing was extremely successful competing against teams from other schools that often include graduate students and have big sponsorships. This year, our goal is to design a gearbox from scratch, utilizing CNC machines and design opportunities our team has never had before to make a faster and lighter car. Your donations help make our goal a reality!
